Abstract

This article extensively discusses the role of play in the social development of children. In particular, it analyzes how children develop social skills through role-playing and cooperative games - such as communication, waiting for turns, following rules, reaching compromises, and resolving conflicts. It also explains the impact of play on personal and social development based on the theories of psychologists such as Vygotsky, Piaget, and Erikson. The article also provides practical recommendations for parents and educators on creating a favorable environment for free play and a conscious approach to games. In conclusion, it is emphasized that play is not only an entertainment activity for children, but also an important pedagogical tool for the formation of a full-fledged person in society.
