Abstract

This paper presents the design and implementation of a smart parking system named “Smart Stopping” using the Arduino UNO microcontroller. The system utilizes ultrasonic and infrared (IR) sensors, servomotors, an LCD display, and a NodeMCU module to monitor vehicle entry, exit, and real-time parking slot availability. The smart parking system not only enhances user convenience but also helps reduce urban traffic congestion, saving time and fuel consumption. Integrated with a mobile application via Bluetooth, the system updates parking availability every five seconds, providing users with accurate and timely information. This project offers a cost-effective, efficient, and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional parking management methods.
