The integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into military operations has initiated a third revolution in warfare. This paper examines the multifaceted role of AI in the military sector, with a specific focus on Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Through a systematic analysis of current defense technologies, this study explores how AI enhances situational awareness, decision-making speed, and autonomous target acquisition. The research employs a qualitative methodology based on existing military reports and technological white papers. Results indicate that AI-driven UAVs, particularly in swarm formations, significantly outperform traditional piloted systems in contested environments. However, the discussion emphasizes that the transition to "Lethal Autonomous Weapons Systems" (LAWS) raises profound ethical, legal, and strategic dilemmas. The paper concludes that while AI offers undeniable tactical advantages, international regulatory frameworks are essential to mitigate risks of unintended escalation.
