THE ROLE AND PRINCIPLES OF COMPETENCY-BASED EDUCATION AND ASSESSMENT OF LEARNING OUTCOMES

In this article, Competency-based education and its roles, principles and effectiveness are explained with realistic situations in educational contexts. Assessing the learning outcomes and results of Competency-based learning or CBE in the next times is also included in this study. Readers can be informed about why these educational techniques are so important, when this happens in academic situations or how they can be implemented and which are the advantages and disadvantages of CBE. Competency-based education transferring the ways of teaching from traditional into modern effective learning style. However, some institutions are facing challenges when implementing new way of education, that’s why this work will give explanation to all these questions.
