This article analyzes the role and importance of science and education in Islam from the perspective of religious studies. The promotion of knowledge in the Holy Quran and Hadith, the contributions of Muslim scholars to the development of science, the historical formation of the Islamic education system and its impact on religious practice and worldview are highlighted. The concept of knowledge in Islam, its types (farzi ayn and farzi kifayat) and the relevance of Islamic education in the modern world are also considered. The article aims to reveal the enlightening essence of Islam.
