This thesis analyzes the legal foundations of the institution of adoption in the Republic of Uzbekistan, its compatibility with international norms, and its application in judicial practice. The necessity of aligning national legislation with international standards based on the Family Code, the Law on Guarantees of the Rights of the Child, and the UN and Hague Conventions is highlighted. The study analyzes the expression of the principle of the priority of the best interests of the child in judicial practice.
