Hydroxybenzoic acids are a class of highly reactive aromatic compounds capable of forming biologically active derivatives through interactions with various natural substances. Their conjugates with alkaloids, terpenoids, amino acids, and flavonoids exhibit significant pharmacological properties. Modification of hydroxybenzoic acids via acid chlorides or activated esters represents an efficient synthetic approach. These compounds are characterized by a broad spectrum of biological activity and constitute a promising direction in modern medicinal chemistry for the development of new effective and safe drugs.
