Abstract

The integration of task-based and problem-solving approaches into translation teaching has emerged as a dynamic pedagogical trend that aligns with the demands of modern professional practice. These methods shift the focus from passive reception of theoretical knowledge to active student engagement through authentic, context-driven tasks that mirror real-life translation challenges. By incorporating problem-solving strategies, learners are encouraged to develop analytical thinking, linguistic creativity, and decision-making skills essential to high-quality translation. This article explores how such approaches foster learner autonomy, improve translation competence, and create a more interactive and learner-centered classroom environment. Through the combination of theory and practice, task-based and problem-solving methods not only enhance linguistic proficiency but also cultivate critical awareness of cultural and contextual nuances in both source and target texts.
