This article analyzes the evolution of the social status and role of Uzbek women from the 19th to the 21st centuries,as well as the impact of modernization on their lives. It compares the position of women in traditional society-where their roles were largely limited to family and community spheres-with the increasing social activity of women during the Jadid movement and the Soviet era.Furthermore, the article explores the participation of women in political, economic and cultural life in the years of independence, highlighting their active rol in modernization and globalization processes.Special attention is to the harmony between modernization and national values,the reforms aimed at ensuring gender equality, and the role of education in this transformation.
