Abstract

This article explores how meaning functions in language through three main areas: types of meaning, word meaning, and the meaning of morphemes. By examining both the emotional and literal aspects of meaning, as well as how words and their smallest parts convey ideas, we gain a clearer understanding of how language works. This knowledge is essential for learners of English and students of linguistics who want to develop deeper language awareness and communication skills.
