This article explores the tourism potential, development trends, and strategic significance of Uzbekistan as one of the most rapidly growing destinations in Central Asia. The research emphasizes the country’s unique combination of historical, cultural, and natural attractions that make it a distinctive location for both domestic and international travelers. The analysis focuses on the diversification of tourism types, including cultural-historical, ecological, pilgrimage, gastronomic, and modern digital tourism. It also highlights recent reforms by the Government of Uzbekistan aimed at improving infrastructure, promoting sustainable tourism, and strengthening the country’s global image as a safe and hospitable travel destination. Special attention is given to UNESCO World Heritage cities such as Samarkand, Bukhara, Khiva, and Shahrisabz, which represent the ancient civilization and spiritual heritage of the nation. The study concludes that the sustainable development of tourism in Uzbekistan contributes not only to economic growth but also to cultural preservation, international cooperation, and social modernization.
