Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has had a profound impact on education, particularly in language learning environments. English language classrooms have seen a significant shift in pedagogy, resources, and student-teacher interaction due to AI-based tools. This article explores how AI technologies such as Natural Language Processing (NLP), chatbots, personalized learning platforms, automated assessment tools, and virtual assistants are revolutionizing English language teaching (ELT). Through literature review and analysis of current practices, the study highlights both the benefits and limitations of AI integration. The results suggest that while AI enhances engagement, accessibility, and individualized instruction, it also presents challenges related to teacher roles, data privacy, and technological disparities. The paper concludes by recommending a balanced, human-centered approach to AI implementation in English classrooms.
