Hozirgi zamonaviy tibbiyot insoniyat taraqqiyotining eng muhim va tez rivojlanayotgan sohalaridan biri hisoblanadi. Fan va texnologiyaning jadal rivojlanishi natijasida tibbiyot nafaqat kasalliklarni davolash, balki ularning oldini olish, erta tashxislash, reabilitatsiya va sog‘lom turmush tarzini shakllantirishga yo‘naltirilgan kompleks tizimga aylandi. Zamonaviy tibbiyot biologiya, kimyo, fizika, informatika va muhandislik fanlari bilan uzviy bog‘liq holda rivojlanmoqda.Bugungi kunda zamonaviy tibbiyot bir necha muhim yo‘nalishlarni o‘z ichiga oladi. Ulardan biri minimal invaziv va robotlashtirilgan jarrohlik hisoblanadi. Robot yordamida bajariladigan operatsiyalar inson omili bilan bog‘liq xatolarni kamaytiradi, operatsiyadan keyingi asoratlar xavfini pasaytiradi va bemorning tezroq sog‘ayishiga xizmat qiladi.
