In medicine, oil derived from the amaranth (Amaranthus) plant is widely used as a treatment for stomach and intestinal ulcers, skin diseases, and healing of cuts, and in the treatment of radiation sickness. Notably, amaranth seeds are widely used in medicine as a remedy for preventing and reducing the growth of malignant tumors caused by cancer. Medicinal amaranth is classified among such medicinal plants. This thesis discusses the medicinal properties of the plant and its cultivation methods.
